Cartmel Priory and Village

The beautiful Priory Church stands majestically over the most enchanting of Lakeland Villages. For over 800 years The Priory has served as the focal point for its congregation, the local community and pilgrims from afar, and continues to do so today. Cartmel village, with the Market Square, has a delightful range of genuine old world buildings, many serving friendly inns and well stocked shops offering a variety of Lakeland products.

Cartmel Priory is open every day except during services

Summer 9.00am - 5.30pm
Winter 9:00am - 3.00pm

Guided tours available on Wednesdays at 11am and 2pm in the summer only.
