South Lakes Wild Animal Park

The North's leading zoo park is a unique safari on foot with many animals wandering free in natural surroundings. Walk with Kangeroos and Emu in the bush, or watch parrots fly free in the trees. See Lemur Monkeys roaming free in the park and absorb the amazing skills of Gibbons, Macaques and Spider Monkeys high up on their canopy of ropes and branches. This is an active conservation park, with partnerships all over the world to save animals and their habitats.

Furness Abbey

Discover one of the richest Cisterian monastries in England. Explore the soaring ruins of red sandstone and soak up the grandeur of this 700 year old site. Located in a peaceful valley, see the majestic remains of Furness Abbey. History comes alive with our free audio tour, learn the story of the fascinating religious community through an informative exhibition.

Barrow Superbowl
Come and enjoy the fun and exciting world of Tenpin Bowling with Barrow Superbowl. We have 24 air-conditioned lanes with user - friendly computerized scoring facilities. Twelve of our lanes are fitted with bumper bars and have access to target ramps, which enables the young and disabled to bowl with ease. They also have an attractive and high class bar offering all top branded beers and bottled drinks along with a large selection of wines, spirits and soft drinks.

The Dock Museum
The Dock Museum is a spectacular modern museum built over an original Victorian Graving Dock. Exploring the fascinating history of Barrow - in - Furness and discover how it grew from a tiny nineteenth century hamlet to the biggest iron and steel center in the world and a major shipbuilding force in just 40 years. The galleries include "Shipbuilders to the World" exhibition, multi media interactive's and special exhibitions.
